![]() So it's Max Payne 2 I need help for, I hope you got an ace up your sleeve. I didn't have these problem on my old PC with Windows 7, and MP1 could be fixed with two patches. When I launch from the batch file for a split second there comes a pop up that says my batch file is not being recognized as a program or a batchfile. I don't got it on steam though I got the original discs. I've tried with the batchfile, running in various windows types and I'm really starting to get pissed off. Disable it by going to Windows Explorer's "Folder and Search Options" settings which can be found under the "Organize" tab in Windows 7 After a few seconds, the launcher will start.įor proper 16:10 16:9 resolution fix for MP1 and MP2, see here:Īncalimon eredeti hozzászólása:If you can't rename it to xxx.bat from xxx.txt, you might have the stupid Windows option to hide known extensions enabled. Now start the game by double clicking those files. Save them as "Max Payne 1.bat" and "Max Payne 2.bat" inside the Max Payne 1 and 2 folders. And did the followingĬreate two text documents one for Max Payne 1 and one for Max Payne 2 I then reseted the compatibility settings. I also tried fiddling with compatibility settings and checked run as administrator once but it didn't work. You might have to try starting the game at least once. To be on the safe side, restart your computer. What you have to do is to exit Steam and restart it. Max Payne 1 runs perfect, and, when I initiate Max Payne 2, It gets stuck in the loading screen after the short Rockstar cinematic, before entering the menu I supose. Nothing will happen but you will see maxpayne.exe and maxpayne2.exe tasks in task manager. Ive made everything you put in that post, for Max Payne and also for Max Payne 2. I have an ATI 7970 and an Intel i7 using Windows 7 圆4Īfter Steam downloads the games, try starting the games once. ![]()
